THE HERO QUEEN
Formerly known as the Hero of Bowerstone, the Hero Queen was Logan's mother, the former Queen of Albion. She is one of the most well-known Heroes in Albion and left quite a legacy: she defeated Lucian and stopped him from destroying the world with the Spire, she gathered the Heroes of Strength, Will, and Skill, and she united Albion and improved it. Logan cares very deeply about her and idolizes her.
- ♚ She raised Logan to take the throne from a very early age. She spent more time with him than his younger sister, but Logan never really noticed that.
♚ The Queen's death shook Logan badly. He knew she had a longer life span than most humans and that she would eventually die, but her death was still shocking. It took him a couple of years to recover from that.
♚ Everything Logan does in his rule is measured against what his mother would have done. Prior to journeying to Aurora, Logan was quite the cocky ruler who genuinely believed he was doing everything his mother would have. His rule wasn't perfect - but neither was hers. It was a far cry from the tyranny of Logan's rule after he returned from Aurora, at any rate. He stopped wearing the crown after returning from Aurora because he had failed to keep his soldiers alive, failed to keep his promise to the Aurorans, and was doing more and more things that he was certain his mother wouldn't approve of. He didn't consider himself a good ruler at all - but that didn't matter. Keeping his people alive mattered far more than keeping them happy.
♚ The Hero Queen used to tell Logan all sorts of stories of her adventures. She left out her time in the Spire but was overall quite honest with what she did. She taught Logan that it was okay to make decisions that aren't exactly right in the name of saving people. ...He might have taken that a bit far though...
♚ Logan took the throne on his twentieth birthday; his mother was already ill and wanted to see her son crowned before she died. She died a little over a year into Logan's reign.
♚ He inherited his love of adventuring from her, but that's about it. She often went off exploring Albion after she became queen, and Logan wanted to expand on that and discover everywhere within Albion. He greatly expanded on the map within the War Room.
♚ One of the last things Logan said to his mother was that he would protect his sister. He takes that promise very seriously and never intended to break it. Letting her
THE HERO OF BRIGHTWALL
Logan's younger sister and one of two Heroes left in Albion. She staged a coup and took power, though at Logan's current canon point she has yet to be crowned. He genuinely does care about her and doesn't resent her for anything she's done.
- ♚ As children, Logan and the Hero were never incredibly close. There's a seven year age gap between them. Logan has always loved his sister and valued her companionship, but he never really knew how to ask for it or tell her that. He protected her from afar and did everything he could to keep her safe.
♚ Logan's decision to force his sister to decide between executing Elliot or the protesters was done through rage. He would later say it was a decision he thoroughly thought on, but the truth is he really didn't. He was furious that she would defy him - after spending so long agreeing with him - and forced her to see what it was like. He does regret forcing her to make that decision, but believes that it will help her during her rule. Being the reigning monarch isn't all sunshine and rainbows, after all.
♚ Logan can be ridiculously dense when it comes to his sister. Everyone in the castle believed that Elliot and the princess had a thing going on. Logan never once considered it. They were just friends, that was it. While he tends to be dense on the relationship front in general, Logan is particularly bad about it when it comes to his sister. As far as he's concerned, she's a child and shouldn't be thinking like that. Never mind the fact that she's only seven years younger than him and certainly not a child anymore.
♚ Due to the timing of events, the Hero of Brightwall was crowned Queen while Logan was incarcerated, awaiting trial. He didn't get to see her coronation, though he was able to hear the cheers from where he was locked up in the castle. This is one of his biggest regrets - he would have loved to see her crowned. It's a rather petty regret in comparison to all the horrible things he's done, and he's well aware of that.
♚ Their mother died around ten years ago and their father passed away long before that. Logan has basically become his sister's guardian as well as her sibling. He never really teased her like most siblings, if only because the age gap was large enough to make that a bit of a moot point. He does believe that her well-being is in his hands, even after she's taken power. This only changes after the Crawler's defeat.
♚ There was a period of time when Logan genuinely believed his sister had been killed. The royal ships were sent after the ones the rebels had stolen from Reaver - with Logan's permission, but they were sent by Reaver himself. They opened fire and sank the rebels ship. The captain and crew in charge of that were all executed. Logan was simply furious that they would believe the only way to stop them was to kill them. Needless to say, Logan was a mess for quite some time and it took the attack on the castle for him to realize that hey, maybe his sister wasn't dead.
THE CRAWLER
Logan encountered the creature that plagued Aurora four years ago. The Crawler killed Logan's soldiers and severely injured him, but it terrified him more than anything. The Aurorans informed Logan of what it had been up to and he promised to bring an army back to defeat it. Theresa informed him that the Crawler would appear in five years to cover Albion in darkness and it was up to Logan to build an army to stop it. The Crawler is the reason why Logan has done all sorts of horrible things to Albion.
- ♚ Logan was rather fearless before facing the Crawler. Most of this was because of inexperience and cockiness, but he had faced Hobbes and Balverines and Hollow Men on his own and lived, so he was quite certain he was ready to face anything. He wasn't.
♚ Logan isn't sure just what happened in the battle with the Crawler. He knows his soldiers died, but because the Crawler can manipulate minds, he's not sure just how they all died. Did they all curse him as the darkness took them over, forcing them to fight one another until they ultimately killed themselves, or was that some kind of illusion? Logan is positive he's responsible for the deaths of several of them - they attacked him while the darkness took them over and he had no choice but to slay them to protect himself.
♚ The Crawler and the Children haunt Logan's nightmares every night. He's lucky if he manages six hours of sleep, and he's never lucky. Logically he knows the Crawler won't attack until the date Theresa gave him, but that's the last thing he's thinking about when he wakes up screaming.
♚ Like Walter, the darkness did touch Logan. While it didn't overtake him like it did Walter, it certainly had a very powerful hold on Logan. Had Walter not been there in the final battle, the Crawler would have targeted Logan. He doesn't know this, thankfully.
♚ Most of the Crawler's attacks were based around infiltrating Logan's mind and shrieking things at him that he wouldn't want to hear. Not only was it horrifying, it cut his ego right down to size. Logan has matured a lot since that attack, and it's left him quite bitter as a result.
THERESA
The Seer of the Spire guided Logan's mother through her journey fifty years ago. Logan doesn't know much about what happened there, but Theresa has provided him with information about the Crawler and has guided him through what he needs to do to prepare for its attack. He doesn't know anything about her, however.
- ♚ Logan trusts Theresa entirely. She worked with his mother, after all. Why would she lie to him? Most people in Albion don't lie anyway; why would she be an exception?
♚ Theresa did not appear before Logan, instead she took him to the Road of Rule. He was obviously in the castle instead of at the start of the road, but he has seen it. Her powers of mind manipulation terrified him, but she gave him more information than anyone else and he accepted that.
♚ Logan has only spoken to Theresa once. She told him everything he needed to know right away. Evidently she has been watching his progress (or lack thereof) and decided that his sister would be better suited to the task of stopping the Crawler.
REAVER
The head of Reaver Industries and Logan's buisness partner, Reaver is the other Hero in Albion. Fifty years ago Reaver assisted in defeating Lucien as the Hero of Skill. Reaver also encountered the Crawler though didn't face it; this was one of the reasons Logan decided to give Reaver control over industry in Albion. While Reaver does fluster and annoy Logan more often than not, he is an invaluable ally.
- ♚ After Faraday refused to cooperate with Logan, he appointed Reaver head of industry in Bowerstone. This wasn't just because of Faraday, but rather because Reaver would make more money and he also had an understanding of what they were going to face. That said, Logan was very hesitant about handing control over to Reaver; he was warned not to mess with Reaver by his mother and was quite reluctant about going against her word.
♚ Reaver is the only person who can fluster Logan. He normally knows how to shut Reaver down before he can get too flustered, but occasionally Reaver will surprise him. This is the only time Logan will actively tsun. He's very flustered by the flirting, he's just good at hiding it. ...And besides, he knows Reaver doesn't mean it.
♚ Logan has never visited Reaver's manor, nor has he ever been interested in attending those parties. He finds them to be a waste of time and money, but he knows better than to try to get Reaver to donate to the treasury.
♚ Since they have spent four years together in relatively close company, Logan does know how to read Reaver to some extent. He's gotten (sort of) used to the crude remarks. That said, he still gets ridiculously linefacey whenever Reaver brings up his sister.
♚ Reaver is the only person who knows what actually happened to Logan and his troops in Shadelight. Reaver showed up not long after hearing about Logan's trip to Aurora to question him about what happened - Reaver had been in the area before and had encountered the Children and the Sentinels, he believed Logan had done the same thing. Logan told Reaver most of what happened. He wasn't exactly emotional about it, but it was very obvious how shaken he was. Logan is a bit more open around Reaver because of this understanding about the coming darkness.
♚ Reaver was appointed to be Logan's financial adviser within the first year after he returned from Aurora. After seeing just how much money he really could make, Logan officially appointed him. Unsurprisingly, no one in the castle was pleased with that decision.
♚ He started relying on Reaver for more than just financial advice and eventually shifted to taking Reaver's advice before Walter's.
♚ Logan didn't always select to follow Reaver's advice, however. He put his foot down at the whorehouse. Repeatedly.
WALTER
Logan's former adviser, Walter Beck fought beside the Hero Queen numerous years ago. After the death of their father, Walter served as a father figure for both Logan and the Hero of Brightwall. Walter prepared the Hero for the throne and helped her overthrow Logan. He is rather annoyed with Walter for this, but understands why he did what he did.
- ♚ Out of everyone who faced the Crawler, Walter is the only one who fully understands just what Logan went through. Logan doesn't know the full extent of what happened there, but he can tell that Walter was touched by the darkness as well.
♚ Prior to visiting Aurora, Walter was Logan's adviser. He listened to everything Walter had to say and agreed with the majority of his decisions. He has always looked up to Walter, perhaps even going as far as considering him a surrogate father figure. Because Walter served with the Hero Queen, Logan trusted him completely.
♚ That made the betrayal much worse, obviously. Logan was infuriated when he discovered that Walter and Jasper had taken his sister away from the castle. He had worked so hard to keep her away from the difficulties outside the castle walls, after all. He understood why later, of course, but he never really got over his irritation at Walter.
♚ Logan was present for Walter's death after the defeat of the Crawler. He does regret not saying anything, but even now he doesn't know just what he would have said. The funeral was equally awkward; as much as he hated Walter for turning against him, he didn't want to see Walter die. ...Ignore the fact that there were wanted posters for Walter, alright.
JASPER
The Hero's personal aid, Jasper has served the royal family for years. He assisted the princess in escaping the castle and leading the coup against Logan. Logan isn't quite as displeased with Jasper, if only because he doesn't know just how much Jasper has done.
- ♚ One of the Hero Queen's attendants, Jasper became the princess' attendant instead of Logan's. They did work together for quite some time (mostly Jasper looking at what Logan was trying to wear and lineface at him for it), but ultimately they weren't very close.
♚ Logan still can't pick out decent outfits. He's lucky he has another attendant who can.
♚ Obviously he approves of Jasper - Logan wouldn't allow anyone to serve his sister if he didn't.
MAJOR SWIFT
Swift is one of the higher ranking soldiers in Albion. He served alongside Walter in the old guard under the Hero Queen. Swift didn't approve of the changes Logan made and joined the rebellion. Logan discovered this and had Swift executed for his betrayal.
- ♚ Before his coronation, Logan did meet Swift several times. The Major was quite fond of telling tales of his exploits and encouraging Logan to explore. He also referred to him more familiarly than "your majesty" or "prince." Logan didn't mind.
♚ The rift between them started even before Logan departed to Aurora. Swift was a great man to listen to, but hardly the best man to work with. He was never very quiet about his thoughts in response to the guards. Logan started sending him on tougher and more dangerous assignments - because Swift was the only one capable of them, of course.
♚ After he returned from Aurora, Logan started hiring any soldier who would work for him, regardless of just how loyal they would be to the old guard. This obviously frustrated both Swift and Walter and led to Swift being sent to Mourningwood on a dead-end assignment. Logan genuinely didn't realize how dangerous the area was and word from the fort was rare and usually disregarded.
♚ Swift's execution was definitely one of Logan's rash decisions. He discovered that Swift had been prying information out of his elite guards and immediately ordered him executed. In short, Logan panicked. He hoped to keep his sister and the rebellion from hearing about Aurora, but Swift had managed to get word to them first. Swift didn't give him any information when he had the guards torture him (an action Logan genuinely does regret, but he believed it was necessary) and Logan had his death held in public to make a statement. That backfired horribly.
BEN FINN
One of the Swift Brigade and Swift's subordinate, Ben was never a soldier Logan knew personally. He supported the Hero of Brightwall's quest to remove Logan from the throne and is loyal to her until the end.
- ♚ Logan used to get to know as many of the soldiers as he could. While he was never treated as one of them, Logan did like to have some familiarity with them. Ben was not one of these soldiers, unfortunately.
♚ Ben suggested that Logan be executed for what he did to Swift. He genuinely believed Swift's execution was necessary - and making it a public spectacle would keep others from trying the same thing in the future. Still, that's no excuse and he understands that.
PAGE
The head of the Bowerstone Resistance, Page grew up in Bowerstone Industrial and watched as it changed. She adamantly opposes what Reaver and Logan have done to Bowerstone and joins the Hero of Brightwall's resistance movement. Logan has never considered her - or the Bowerstone Resistance - a threat.
- ♚ Logan was made aware of Page's presence thanks to Reaver. Logan has never been very in touch with what's going on in Industrial. He has never tried very hard to get Page captured, simply because Logan doesn't find her to be much of a threat in the grand scheme of things.
♚ At Logan's trial, Page is the only one who suggests sparing Logan (only because they're better than executing him). He is legitimately grateful for that.
KALIN
The Aurorans were responsible for finding Logan and healing him after his battle with the Crawler in Shadelight. Kalin is their leader, and has been in charge for quite some time. Logan promised to bring an army to help her defeat the Crawler, but broke that promise after what Theresa told him. As far as he's concerned, Aurora is already a dead land.
- ♚ Logan genuinely does like Kalin. From what he heard while he was healing in Aurora, she experienced loss and grew because of it. She is in a position of power that was more or less forced on her (from what Logan gathered, at least) and rose to the challenge just as he had. Identifying with her didn't change his decision to leave the Aurorans to face the Crawler alone, however.
♚ The Aurorans were very good to Logan during his stay. Once he had finally healed Kalin offered him a ship and taught him how to sail. She said her people needed to remain in Aurora to fight the Crawler, but she would expect him to return with that army in a timely manner.
♚ He met Theresa when he returned home and she told him of the future of Albion if the Crawler was not defeated. Logan told the kingdom that there was nothing in Aurora - just a desert wasteland with nothing valuable to pursue. This would keep anyone from risking their lives there and it would explain what happened to all of his soldiers. None of the Aurorans knew what happened and assumed Logan had decided to break his promise for other reasons.
♚ Logan sailed off to Aurora with the intention of finding out just what was out there. No one knew of the Auroran people before his trip there, and even afterwards very few knew the Aurorans even existed. Swift got the information from one of Logan's elite guards before he was executed.
♚ If the situation had been different, Logan would have allowed Aurora protection and citizenship within Albion. Unfortunately, the Crawler prevented that.
PROFESSOR ERNEST FARADAY
The former head of industry. Professor Faraday was asked to create robots to help build Albion's army to face the Crawler. Faraday believed Logan was going to replace the soldiers with his Mark II Collins and use their power to bring Albion to ruin. He refused and Logan had him imprisoned in Ravenscar Keep. Faraday escaped and retreated to Clockwork Island, but was ultimately defeated by the Hero of Brightwall. (Traitor's Keep DLC only.)
- ♚ Professor Faraday's work in electromagnetism fascinates Logan. He wanted to harness that power and use it against the Crawler, but unfortunately Faraday was stubborn and refused to give in. While Logan can admire Faraday's courage, it really didn't work in his favor at all.
♚ After Faraday was imprisoned, Logan decided that Reaver was the only one who could assist him in gaining the funds to build a much larger army. Reaver Industries took over Faraday Industries and started claiming that Faraday's work was Reaver's own.
♚ Logan has visited Clockwork Island. He was stunned by what he saw, not to mention a bit afraid. The Mark II Collins terrify him on some level, but he was willing to put that aside to get the army he needed to defeat the Crawler.
♚ He didn't have Faraday executed because Logan believed that Faraday would change his mind. He didn't and Logan was content to leave him rotting in Ravenscar Keep.
COMMANDER MILTON
The man in charge of Ravenscar Keep, Logan appointed Commander Milton to the position seven years ago. He supposedly served Logan loyally during that time, but he was assisting General Turner the entire time. Logan never found that out and trusted Milton with the entire Keep. (Traitor's Keep DLC only.)
- ♚ Milton and Logan have fought side-by-side before; this is how Logan got to know the man, actually. He's well aware of how strong Milton is and he trusts him wholeheartedly.
♚ Ravenscar Keep was originally opened by Logan's mother. She never mentioned it to Logan and he was shocked to find out about it. He refused to let the torture practices go on and shut them down immediately. Logan also stopped executing criminals in the start of his reign; though by the end he was allowing executions of traitors. Milton apparently didn't agree with these practices.
♚ Logan has been to Ravenscar Keep several times in the past to check on the prisoners. He was deeply disturbed by those held in the Hole.
♚ Needless to say, Logan would be furious to learn what happened to his sister while she tried to recapture the prisoners. He'd be quite pissed about Milton plotting against him as well.
GENERAL SOLOMON TURNER
The only man to lead a coup against Logan during his reign. Solomon Turner was captured and imprisoned in Ravenscar Keep instead of executed. It's said Turner was incredibly charming and able to get others to listen to his ideas. He died six months before the attack on the Hero of Brightwall. (Traitor's Keep DLC only.)
- ♚ Logan did fight Turner, but he didn't do it on his own. His elite guards certainly proved their worth in that fight. Logan was shocked that anyone would turn against him and was unprepared for the attack; he wasn't injured, however. Turner was imprisoned around six years ago, after Milton was placed in charge of the Keep.
♚ Logan finds the idea of leaving Albion without a monarchy laughable. Yes, Albion went without a ruler for a long time, but the Hero Queen united Albion and strengthened it. The world flourished under her rule, and had the Crawler not appeared, it would have continued to flourish under Logan's rule. He's certain of that.
Current canon point: After surrendering to the Hero of Brightwall but before she is crowned Queen.
Age: 32.
Species: Human.
Skills: We're just going to use Fable II for reference here, even though he's not a Hero.
Brutal Styles: ★★★★ (Blocking, Flourishes, Chain Attacks, Counters)
Physique: ★★
Toughness: ★★★
Dexterous Styles: ★ (Roll)
Accuracy: 0
Speed: ★★
- ♚ Logan wields both a sword and a pistol, like everyone else in Albion. He is rarely seen without his sword, since he prefers that one. He's a horrible shot, actually, and prefers to use the pistol at close range if he has to.
♚ He's actually quite the skilled swordsman. Logan isn't a Hero and can't rely on Will to back him up, so he relies quite heavily on his sword. He's trained since he was a teenager to be able to handle himself in battle. He's gotten much better after his dealings with the Crawler, if only because he needs to defend himself from its attack in the future.
♚ Logan doesn't wear Albion's crown at all now. He used to wear it everywhere prior to fighting the Crawler in Shadelight. After that disastrous defeat, Logan gave up wearing the crown because he felt he wasn't a worthy ruler. At the same time, he didn't want to force his sister on the throne - he had received the training and knew what to do as the monarch, she hadn't.
♚ He used to be far more hot-headed and egotistical than he is now. Logan never really thought that he could do no wrong, but he did think he was better than everyone else. He was reduced to the same level of his soldiers when he fought the Crawler and it was made quite clear that he wasn't any better than them. He has calmed down a bit since the attack, but it has left him a paranoid wreck.
♚ The battle with the Crawler is something Logan dreads. He can't think of a future beyond that because he's certain Albion is going to lose. Being asked what he'll do after that is mind-boggling. After that? He'll be dead and so will everyone else. Now get back to work and help him try to save his country.
♚ Logan talks to himself a lot. He has kept himself holed up in the War Room for the past four years and rarely leaves. He spends the majority of his time in there pacing around the table in the center and studying the map as if it will give him answers. When he's not glaring at it, he's trying to convince himself that he can handle this. It tends to come off as a very stereotypical villain speech, which Theresa uses against him. Whoops.
♚ Emotions are a bit of a strange thing for Logan. He was raised to keep quiet about exactly what he's feeling, since an emotional ruler tends to make horrible decisions.
♚ Romance is another thing that's completely foreign to Logan. He's never even bothered dating, much less trying to find an actual wife. He's never been particularly close to anyone either, and he doesn't put much importance on romance in general. Should he survive the Crawler's attack and Albion is spared (somehow), then yes, he's aware he'll need to get married and produce an heir. That's all it is to him, really; produce an heir. Love doesn't really factor in to it. It's just another duty. This doesn't mean he's incapable of love though, he's just horribly inexperienced with it.
♚ It should go without saying, but obviously Logan is inexperienced with sex as well. He's never done anything with anyone, but that doesn't mean he lacks a sex drive. It's just more dead than usual thanks to the Crawler. ...And it wasn't very alive to begin with.
♚ Logan was present during the final battle against the Crawler (as evidenced by the fact that he shows up for Walter's death, despite the fact that you can't see him fighting). He had prepared for this battle for the last five years and refused to sit idly by while everyone else worked to stop it. Considering how many people fighting against the Crawler hated him, it's amazing Logan didn't get "accidentally" shot. Anyway, he needed to be there to see the Crawler defeated, and he did... it was just at the cost of Walter.
♚ Logan is ridiculously proud of his little sister. He doesn't resent her for anything she's done and he's hardly jealous. His decision to leave Albion after the Crawler was defeated was for Albion's sake rather than his own. But then again, he's always done things for Albion's sake instead of his own.
♚ Ever notice the lack of trolls in Albion? Logan had a set of hammers (Trollblight) created and ordered the extermination of all trolls. He participated in the extermination and has one of the hammers still, but he prefers to fight with swords.
Listed by ages since what the hell are years in this game. Current age is 32. Ugh, I'll try to come up with some better way to format this...
