FIRST ORDER ♛ VIDEO
[The video turns on with a chirp of "Snivy!" The Pokémon can't be seen, but due to the fact that the trainer is visible in the frame (well, his legs at least), the Snivy is probably operating the Gear.]
...must be some explanation...
[Logan appears to be speaking to... no one, actually. He's pacing back and forth and after a moment the Snivy adjusts the camera so that Logan can be properly seen. The room he's in is pretty nondescript - though members of Team Rocket might recognize it as one of the rooms in the base.]
[The Snivy, frustrated with his trainer, starts chirping again. Logan finally turns to look at it, frowning.]
What is it? I thought I told you to be--
[He stops, staring at the Gear for a moment. He doesn't look overly surprised - not that he ever expresses anything - but there's obvious hesitance in his voice when he speaks.]
...That device is on, isn't it?
[There's a very happy "Snivy!" in response.]
I suppose there's no harm in asking everyone, then. Does anyone know where we are in relation to Albion? I need to return immediately.
[Is that it? He doesn't mince words, that's for sure. The Snivy shakes the Gear, clearly frustrated. It chirps its name a few more times in an effort to get its trainer to keep speaking. Logan frowns at it.]
You certainly are a talkative one. I do have another question: what is the point of training these creatures?
[That's all he has to say, apparently. Logan waves a hand at the Snivy and after a moment the feed cuts out.]

[Anyway, Logan answers the door and steps back, nodding for Kimblee to come in.]
I didn't catch your name. I am Logan, King of Albion. Thank you for coming so quickly.

Sol-
[..........................excuse me]
...ah. King of Albion. Well, this is both an honor and a pleasure, then.
[Oh god, this is kind of priceless. Are you a tyrant? Tell him you're a tyrant.]
As I was saying. Solf J. Kimblee. Like you, I'm not from this world - however, I've never heard of Albion, either.
no subject
I was afraid of that. It seems no one has heard of Albion here.
[With the exception of Reaver, but we ignore him.]
It's a pleasure then, Solf. What can you tell me about this world?
no subject
...ah, just "Kimblee" is fine, thank you. And I suppose that depends on where you want me to start; there's quite a lot to explain.
no subject
Very well then, Kimblee. I suppose you don't know how we got here or why we're here? What about these creatures? I've been told they are to be used as our protection here.
[Oh hello, a visitor! The Snivy leaps off the bed and immediately saunters over to Kimblee, giving him a quick glance. Hmm. He looks a bit like that other white-suited, really tall guy! That one looked like he was going to kill him though, so you don't mind if he's really wary of you, right?]
no subject
Well, you're right about the creatures; you raise them in battle against other creatures. Defeating them gains experience for them; gain enough experience and their levels will increase. After a certain amount of levels, most of them change form into something more powerful.
[Oh, hello, you. Kimblee glances down at the Snivy with a look of mild curiosity before returning his attention to Logan.]
Ah, I've seen one of those before, though I've never raised one; that one is one that ends up with a different form than what it started with. Snivy, isn't it?
no subject
Indeed? That's fascinating.
[...Not that his expression really reflects that, um.]
Yes, I believe that is the name of the species of this one. I haven't tested it in battle yet. Do you know if they're useful?
[He kind of doubts this one is, to be honest. It acts like it owns the place. Speaking of which, Snivy seems to realize you're talking about it. He's got his little chest puffed out and he's looking very pleased with himself. Goodness, look at that ego.]
no subject
...as it stands, the amount of sameface here is seriously giving him the wig, wow.]
Well, it may not be useful now, but it certainly does become much moreso after you've raised it; my battling partner has one, you see, so I've seen it in action a few times.
For the time being, however, don't be surprised if it's useless; I would suggest finding someone to work with, in order to raise its levels a bit faster.
no subject
[Somehow or other, he was afraid it would come to that. "Finding someone to work with"? Unless he wants to attempt to meet someone new and convince them to work with him (which he doesn't), he's stuck with Reaver.]
I do know someone here, yes. I'm not entirely sure how useful he'll be.
[...Reaver, he hates you.]
no subject
[...waaaaaaaaaaaaait]
I thought you said that no one else here knows of it.
no subject
[Certainly you know the type?]
I worked with him for a bit back home, but he is hardly the sort of person I would have any reason to seek out here. Unfortunately, I don't have any other options.

[This...isn't hard...?]
Really, if he offends your delicate sensibilities that much, there's no need to even speak to him here.
no subject
[Logan waves that away airily before elaborating.]
He is a very important man back home. I need to ensure he will keep supporting me when we return home. Besides, he is the only other one from Albion here.
[And Logan is not exactly the most social thing, have you noticed?]
no subject
[who in the world is even running your country]
no subject
[...Oh wait, you probably have no idea what that means.]
He's an expert with firearms. He could very easily kill me before I could do anything to him.
no subject
[And people think Amestris is - ...okay, no, Amestris is still horrifically messed up, it's just in a way that Kimblee approves of.]
no subject
[You guys have Heroes too, right? Of course you do.]
no subject
[...is the capital letter important or something?]
no subject
no subject
Well, as oddly specific a talent as "surviving any fall" is, I suppose that does clear things up - although you have to admit that title is a bit confusing when attributed to people like that, don't you think?
no subject
Yes, it is. Most Heroes tend to do the right thing; Reaver is quite obviously not one of them.

[...YOUR WORLD IS RIDICULOUS.]
