There was no proof whatsoever. There were numerous soldiers with me when we engaged it, but it killed everyone but me. The people in the surrounding area had faced it as well, but there were so few of them left that even their testimony would not have been believed. Everything could have been easily faked, and the people would not want to believe that their country was at risk. Fifty years have passed in peace; the people have grown far too used to living without suffering. They would not have believed me.
